Website Hosting & Maintenance FAQs

What's included in hosting?

Server space for your website, an SSL certificate, business email accounts, off-site backups, 24/7 uptime monitoring, and tech support. The regular plan backs up monthly. The premium plan backs up daily.

How long is the contract?

Hosting is billed once a year. The website care package is month to month. You can cancel either one and we’ll hand over a full backup of your site.

When do I get billed?

Once a year on the date you signed up. We send an invoice ahead of time so there’s no surprise charge.

What happens if I don't renew?

We give you plenty of notice, then a full copy of your site so you can move it anywhere. Nothing gets deleted without telling you first.

Do I get email with my hosting?

Yes. Both plans include email accounts at your domain, like info@yourbusiness.com.

Is the SSL certificate extra?

No. It’s included on every plan and renews automatically.

What if my site gets hacked?

It rarely happens on our sites. Keeping WordPress and plugins current closes most of the doors attackers use, which is why the care package exists.

If it does happen, we go in and remove the bad files and clean the site. If the damage is too deep to clean, we restore from your backup and get you back online. That’s why we keep off-site copies, so there’s always a version to fall back on.

Do I have to host with you to get a care plan?

No. We maintain sites on other hosts. Hosting with us makes fixes faster because we control the server, but it isn’t required.

Can I keep my domain name?

Yes. Your domain stays in your name at your registrar. We never take ownership of it.

Will moving my site cause downtime?

Almost never. We test the copy before switching anything. Most moves are invisible to visitors.

What if I want to leave and host somewhere else?

We hand you a full backup and help point your domain wherever you’re going. No exit fee, no hostage situation.

Do you host e-commerce sites?

Yes, on the premium plan. WooCommerce sites need daily backups and more server resources.

Is SEO included in your Care plans?

The care package includes traffic reports and one hour a month you can spend on SEO work. Ongoing SEO campaigns are a separate service.

How fast do you respond?

We usually respond withing 1 to 2 business days for normal requests. Site down means immediately, whenever it happens.
