Website design for Washington attorneys and small firms

websites for attorneys in Washington

With 20+ years of experience building websites for legal professionals, we know what people searching for attorneys look for online and how to turn that into booked consultations.

Most of the attorneys we work with are running a practice, managing a caseload, and doing their own marketing in the gaps.

That is who we build websites for. Solo practitioners, two and three attorney firms, and practices that need a site to work without turning into a second job.

We build WordPress websites that are simple enough that your paralegal can change office hours without calling anyone. We handle WordPress hosting and maintenance too, so there is one number to call when something breaks.

What a law firm website needs to Include

We have looked hard at what separates law firm sites that generate consultations from the ones that just sit there. Here is what goes into every build.

A bulleted list of eight practice areas ranks for nothing. Each area gets its own page, written for the person searching that specific problem. Somebody typing “divorce lawyer Tacoma” and somebody typing “wrongful termination attorney Seattle” are not the same visitor and should not land on the same page.

People pick a lawyer on credentials and gut feeling. Give them both. Where you went to school, what bar admissions you hold, the kind of case you take, and a real photograph taken somewhere in Washington. Not a stock model in a suit next to a gavel

A short form that routes straight to whoever screens your intake, plus a click to call button on every page. Most people looking for an attorney are in the middle of a bad week and they are searching at night.

This is where most law firm sites get into trouble. RPC 7.1 bars false or misleading communication, which covers omitting a fact that makes an otherwise true statement misleading. Case results and testimonials both fall under it. RPC 7.4 restricts calling yourself a specialist or an expert unless a named certifying organization issued the credential and the required Washington disclaimer runs with it. We write the copy so it says something without saying something you have to walk back.

Title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image handling, load speed, and LegalService schema go in at launch. You are not paying someone later to fix the basics.

Fast hosting, compressed images, SSL, clean code, malware scanning, and backups. No bloated builder stacks that drag the site to a crawl.

Book a free 30-minute call and we will walk your current site and tell you where you why people are not scheduling a consultation.

Legal Website Designs Portfolio

Practice areas we build for

Different practice areas attract completely different clients, and the sites should not look or read alike. A personal injury site is selling urgency and contingency. An estate planning site is selling calm and permanence. We write for the difference.

  • Personal injury and auto accidents
  • Family law and divorce
  • Criminal defense and DUI
  • Estate planning, wills, and probate
  • Employment and wrongful termination
  • Immigration
  • Business and real estate law
  • Landlord tenant and property disputes

Not on the list? Our team has built for enough regulated professions that the process transfers. Tell us what you handle on a discovery call.

Law firms we serve across Washington

We are based in Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula and work with firms across the state. Most of our legal work sits in the I-5 corridor, Seattle and Bellevue down through Tacoma and Olympia, with practices in Kirkland, Everett, and Bellingham too. Closer to home we build for firms in Port Angeles, Sequim, and across Kitsap County.

Local search is where a small firm beats a big one. A Bellevue family law practice does not need to outrank a Seattle injury firm with a television budget. It needs to own “family law attorney Bellevue,” and that gets won with a location page matching your Google Business Profile, correct schema, and content about the specific county courthouse your clients will actually walk into. Firms in Everett compete inside the Seattle metro whether they want to or not. Firms in Port Angeles compete with three other names in Clallam County. Those are different builds.

Not on that list? We work with firms across Washington and nationally. Bring it up on a discovery call.

Law firm website design without the big agency price tag

What We Do

Our law firm website services

Website design for law firms

Your site is where somebody decides whether to call you or call the next firm on the results page. We design sites that build trust in the first ten seconds, make your practice areas obvious, and make requesting a consultation take one click.

WordPress development for attorneys

Every site runs on WordPress. Clean code, fast hosting, mobile first, fully yours. You can update it without calling a developer, and you can move it anywhere.

Website maintenance and hosting

Sites do not stay fast and secure on their own. We handle updates, backups, security monitoring, and performance checks through our WordPress hosting plans so your site keeps working while you work your cases

What a well built website does for your practice

People research attorneys before they call anyone. They read reviews, check bar standing, and open four or five firm sites in tabs. Your site does the work before your phone rings.

People find you in local search. You show up for the searches that matter. “Personal injury attorney Everett,” “divorce lawyer near me,” “DUI attorney Kitsap County.” Those are won with practice area pages, a Google Business Profile that matches your site, and correct schema. Not with a homepage.

Your site works on every device. Most people looking for a lawyer start on a phone, at night, under stress. A site that loads slowly or breaks on mobile loses that person in seconds.

People know how to reach you. A visible consultation form, a click to call button, and contact information on every page. Confused visitors leave. A clear next step turns them into a scheduled consultation.

Your credentials and reviews are visible immediately. Bar admissions, years in practice, professional memberships, and Google reviews placed where people see them first. Those signals are what separate you from the other seven firms in their tabs.

You stop losing clients to firms with better sites. Plenty of Washington practices are running sites built a decade ago. If yours loads fast, reads clearly, and answers the questions people are actually asking, you win that comparison every time.

Our web design process for law firms

Attorneys are busy. Court calendars, client calls, and billable hours do not leave room for a six month website project with weekly revision rounds. We keep things moving and build efficiently so you can get back to your caseload.

- 01 -

Discovery Call

We learn about your practice, the cases you want more of, and the cases you want fewer of. That conversation shapes everything after it.

- 02 -

Research & Strategy

We look at the other firms ranking in your market, your target searches, and your local competition. You fill out a short questionnaire while we do the groundwork.

- 03 -

Project Roadmap

Page structure, sitemap, and wireframes, so you see the plan before we build. Attorney bios, practice area pages, intake flow, all mapped.

- 04 -

Design & Development

We build the site, write or place the copy, run the compliance pass against the Washington RPCs, and hand you a staging link to review.

- 05 -

Website Launch

We deploy, connect Google Analytics and Search Console, verify everything across devices, and walk you through managing basic updates.

- 06 -

Ongoing Support

Monthly maintenance plans, plus availability for updates and improvements whenever you need them.

Industries We Serve

Different industries, different patients, different problems. We’ve spent years learning what makes someone book a dental appointment vs. request a roofing estimate vs. schedule a plastic surgery consultation. We know what each industry needs because we’ve built for all of them.

Law firm website design FAQ

Most firm projects run $3,000 to $5,000. It depends on how many practice areas and attorney bios you need and whether we are starting fresh or rebuilding. You get a fixed quote before any work begins. Full pricing is on our pricing page.

Usually 6 to 10 weeks. Content is what stretches timelines, not the build. Attorney bios and photographs are the two things that stall projects, so we hand you a content checklist on day one.

We build with the Washington RPCs in mind. RPC 7.1 governs communications about your services, RPC 7.2 covers advertising and requires the name and contact information of a lawyer or firm responsible for the content, RPC 7.3 covers solicitation, and RPC 7.4 restricts specialization claims. We write the copy to stay inside those rules, place the required disclaimers, and flag anything that reads as a results guarantee. You or your firm’s ethics contact should review the final copy before launch. We are web designers, not your counsel on your own bar obligations.

Yes. Clio, MyCase, Lawmatics, PracticePanther, and most intake tools. If your system has a form embed or an intake link, it goes on the site. If it does not, we build a secure form that routes to whoever screens your calls.

Yes. 100%. Your website, your content, your domain, your hosting. We don’t build on proprietary platforms or lock you into contracts. If you ever want to move, you take everything with you.

Yes. Most of our work is a redesign. We keep what performs, rebuild what does not, and set up redirects so you do not lose the rankings you already have.

Yes. We build on WordPress with Elementor, a visual editor. Click what you want to change and type. Office hours, a new associate, a closure notice, all without technical background. We walk you through it at launch and record the session so you can hand it to whoever takes over the front desk next year.

We prefer attorneys write their own bios and practice area copy, because you know the cases and clients better than any writer does, and readers can tell. If you do not have time, we can write it. It adds time and cost since we research your practice areas first.

Yes. Launch is step one. If you want to rank for more practice area and city searches, we offer monthly SEO including content, technical work, and reporting.

Yes. We are on the Olympic Peninsula and work with firms across the country. Washington is where we know the bar rules cold.
